Our First Developer Meetup for Kotlin & Android
On July 29th, we kickstarted our first meetup at our office, which was an one-day workshop on Kotlin and Advanced Android Development. We had around 40 people registered for the event and we started off at 11 AM in the morning.
We had a very exciting audience from various backgrounds and experience in technical fields who had a deep passion for building Android Applications. We also had students and freshers who are just getting started in the world of Android Development.
Venkat and myself took the basics of Kotlin which included the introduction, comparison with other programming languages and a short demo explaining how to use Kotlin. Dharani, on the other hand took some advanced concepts in Android which explained about memory optimization, cursors and making effective use of handlers.
